Your files.
Your decisions.
This is the local-only Carryleaf beta. There is no document-upload backend, account system, payment integration or application analytics in this release.
What the app reads
After you select a folder, the browser makes the selected files available to this page. Carryleaf uses their names, relative paths, types, sizes and modification dates to suggest categories. It reads approved file contents when you confirm a ZIP build. Imported JSON plans may also contain titles, descriptions and links.
What leaves the browser
This application build does not send selected filenames, plans or file contents to a server. The page does request its own HTML, JavaScript and CSS from the hosting provider. The host can process normal request data such as IP address, user agent and requested page. No third-party analytics script is bundled. If the operator later adds tracking, this notice must be updated before that change is released.
Opening links in an imported reader guide visits the destination website under that website’s practices. Downloading a ZIP saves a local copy; sharing or uploading it afterwards is your separate action.
What stays on the device
The active selection, decisions and completed ZIP are held in the page’s memory. They are not a remote backup. “Remember on this device” optionally writes the plan’s metadata to this website’s local browser storage; it does not store file contents. This storage is not encrypted by the app.
“Clear this plan” removes the current plan and this app’s saved plan from that browser origin. It does not delete downloaded plans, exported ZIPs, source files, copies shared elsewhere, or hosting logs. You control deletion of those files separately.
What an exported package contains
The ZIP contains full copies of approved files, including their existing embedded metadata. It also includes a guide and an export report with output paths, sizes and integrity information. The ZIP is unencrypted. The app does not determine whether a file is confidential, free of malware, factually accurate, or legally shareable.
Use non-sensitive material in this pilot
Do not use confidential student records, passwords, financial records or other sensitive information to test the beta. Review the output yourself and only copy or share material you are entitled to use.
