From folder to
finished handover.

Try the fictional sample first; it works without choosing a folder. A desktop browser is recommended when you are ready to use a folder of your own.

  1. Open the app. Choose “Try with 8 sample files” to test with sample files, or “Choose local folder” for your own.
  2. Review the placements. Approve clear suggestions or review individual files. Change “Needs a home” to a useful category before approving it. Excluded and unreviewed items are not copied.
  3. Open “Export files”. Check the exact output tree and any missing-file warnings.
  4. Review & build ZIP. Read the file-content notice. Only then does the app read approved file contents for the archive.
  5. Download and extract the whole ZIP. Keep START-HERE.html beside the category folders. Its links open the included files.
  6. Check the result. Open a few copies and compare them with your originals before relying on the export.
Keep your originals. Carryleaf makes a separate copy, not a destructive cleanup. ZIPs are not encrypted. Source files retain embedded information and active content. Open only files you trust.

Keep your work between visits

“Save private plan” downloads metadata and review decisions, not file contents. Use “Reopen plan” later and “Reconnect original folder” to reattach your files. The app matches path, size and modification date, not an earlier content hash.

“Remember on this device” is optional and unencrypted. It applies to this browser and website address. A plan saved in the downloaded HTML does not automatically appear on the new website. Export it from the old tab and import it here.

What this beta does not do

It does not read documents to understand their meaning, move originals, scan for malware or private information, verify the truth of documents, rewrite links inside copied documents, or sync with cloud accounts.

Google-native shortcut files are not the underlying documents. Download/export the actual documents from their provider first. Empty original folders are not inventoried. Reorganising code projects or websites may break internal paths; do not use this as a software-project migration tool.

Limits and compatibility

Up to 500 inventoried files, 100 MiB per file, and 200 MiB of file contents per archive. ZIP uses no compression. Large packages use additional browser memory. Mobile folder selection may not be available; start on a desktop. This release is not an installed app and makes no offline-installation promise.

Something went wrong?

Stop, keep the original folder, and save your plan where possible. Reopen the app and try a smaller sample. Report the step and the error message to the person who invited you to this pilot. No online feedback form is connected. Do not send private plans, file contents, or screenshots with personal information in a public report.
